All I needed was less than a day to catch up with the TV show of the moment: This Is Us! I have to say I only became aware of the NBC show in the end of November, because I wanted to understand Milo Ventimiglia’s new look. Plus, I had so much to watch that I kept postponing it. Until a couple of weeks ago I decided to choose a new show and here we go!
Since This Is Us is currently on display (renewed for two more seasons!) my idea was: I watch the pilot and then I decide if I want to watch the rest. What I didn’t expect was that the story would be so great that I would end up watching twelve episodes between Sunday night and Monday afternoon. So, in less than 24 hours I was ready to watch the show in real time. The show has forty-minute episodes and I assure you: I haven’t watch a TV show with such a great story in a long time!
The plot is really interesting since it happens in the present and in the past at the same time. And, of course, I cried in every single episode! I love Milo Ventimiglia’s character, the incredible Jack Pearson, who is fundamental for the whole show. Besides, it has been great to see Justin Hartley and I even like Mandy Moore (that’s something because I really liked her). The story revolves around three brothers — twins and an adopted one — both in present and in past, and their parents lives back in the day. The past is really important to understand the present, which is very clever on the screenwriters.
